It is designed to fill microscopic air gaps between heat-generating electronic components and heat sinks, significantly reducing thermal resistance and improving heat dissipation in applications such as CPUs, GPUs, power semiconductors, LED lighting, automotive electronics, telecommunications equipment, industrial power modules, and energy storage systems. The supply chain begins with upstream suppliers of silicone base polymers, specialty ceramic fillers, coupling agents, and additives, followed by compounders and formulators that disperse the fillers into silicone matrices using precision mixing and quality-control processes to produce thermal paste with specified viscosity and thermal performance. Midstream participants include thermal interface material manufacturers, packaging companies, and distributors serving OEMs and electronics manufacturers. Downstream demand comes from consumer electronics, automotive and electric vehicles, telecommunications infrastructure, industrial automation, renewable energy systems, aerospace, and medical electronics, where efficient thermal management is critical for device performance, reliability, and service life.
