According to the synthetic method reported above, the prepared triacetyl ribose is a mixture of α and β isomers. The β isomer participates in the next reaction to prepare capecitabine. The α isomer is the impurity produced, and the α is different. The ratio of the structure is 3~30%, and the ratio of the α isomer will not be higher. The pure β isomer can be obtained by column chromatography or recrystallization at this isomer ratio.
