Phenylcyclohexane is a colorless oily liquid. Soluble in alcohol, acetone, benzene, carbon tetrachloride, hexane and xylene, insoluble in water and glycerol. At the same time, phenylcyclohexane is also used as an additive for lithium-ion battery electrolytes to improve battery safety.

Cyclohexylbenzene is the main raw material for the production of LCD material intermediate 4-ethylcyclohexylbenzoic acid. LCD electronics is used as an anti-overcharge additive for lithium-ion battery electrolytes to improve battery safety.
