In this process, titanium oxide is reduced by chlorine gas to generate titanium tetrachloride gas, and the reducing agent is oxidized at the same time.

In this process, titanium oxide is reduced by chlorine gas to generate titanium tetrachloride gas, and the reducing agent is oxidized at the same time.
