The global market for New Energy Vehicle Inverters was valued at US$ 7526 million in the year 2024 and is projected to reach a revised size of US$ 13470 million by 2031, growing at a CAGR of 8.8% during the forecast period.

In the new energy drive system, the inverter controls the motor. This is a key component in a car, similar to the engine management system (EMS) of an internal combustion engine car, that determines driving behavior. The inverter not only drives the electric motor, but also captures the energy released through regenerative braking and feeds it back to the battery. Therefore, the range of the vehicle is directly related to the efficiency of the traction inverter. The new energy vehicle inverter is a key component of the torque vectoring drive unit.

Global electric vehicles continue to grow rapidly. In 2022, the total global sales of new energy vehicles will exceed 10 million, a simultaneous increase of 61%. China and Europe emerged as the main drivers of strong growth in global EV sales. In 2022, the production and sales of new energy vehicles in China will reach 7.058 million and 6.887 million respectively, a year-on-year increase of 96.9% and 93.4%. The production and sales of new energy vehicles have ranked first in the world for eight consecutive years. Among them, the sales volume of pure electric vehicles was 5.365 million, a year-on-year increase of 81.6%. In 2022, sales of pure electric vehicles in Europe will increase by 29% year-on-year to 1.58 million.
