These conditions create long-term demand for insulation materials, although actual machinery investment depends on regional construction activity and existing foam-board capacity. Environmental controls on disposable foam packaging restrain investment in conventional low-end EPS and PS equipment. The European Union’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation entered into force on February 11, 2025 and is generally applicable from August 12, 2026.
