The scope mainly includes AC/DC and DC/DC conversion equipment, DC switching and fault-interruption devices, protection and control systems, and skid-mounted or containerized distribution units. These products reduce repeated AC/DC conversion stages, support bidirectional power flow and direct connection of energy storage, renewable generation, and DC loads, and require rapid fault detection and isolation. The blended gross margin is approximately 32%.

Demand is driven by distribution-grid reinforcement, renewable and energy-storage integration, rail electrification, marine power-system upgrades, and the construction of high-power-density data centers. MVDC can reduce conversion stages and improve power-flow control when large DC loads, distributed generation, and storage are connected together, so adoption typically begins with demonstration links, dedicated industrial sites, and high-reliability applications.

Product development is focused on high-efficiency converters, isolated DC/DC conversion, fast DC fault interruption, digital protection and control, and modular system design. Mechanical, solid-state, and hybrid interruption technologies will coexist, with hybrid solutions balancing conduction losses and interruption speed, while wide-bandgap power devices and modular multilevel technologies improve power density. Supply is moving from standalone devices toward panel-level assemblies, skid-mounted systems, containerized eHouses, and turnkey distribution systems.
