A coreless motor, also known as an ironless motor, is a type of permanent-magnet electric motor in which the rotor winding is formed without a conventional laminated iron core. In the most common cylindrical design, the armature consists of a lightweight, self-supporting copper winding shaped like a hollow cup and positioned within the magnetic field of permanent magnets. By eliminating the iron core, the motor achieves very low rotor inertia, minimal cogging torque, low inductance, fast acceleration and deceleration, and smooth speed control.

Their upstream raw materials are similar to those of other micro-motors, primarily including steel (silicon steel), enameled wire, aluminum ingots, plastic particles, electronic components, and magnetic materials. Currently, the domestic supply of these raw materials is ample, and the market is highly diversified, so there is no risk of supply shortages.
