Upstream inputs include light sources and detectors, gas sensors, optical components, pumps, valves, heated lines, calibration gases and embedded software; downstream customers include vehicle and engine OEMs, certification laboratories, utilities, steel, cement, refining, chemicals, waste-to-energy, shipping and regulators. Gross margins are commonly about 35%–50%.
