It is insoluble in water and practically soluble in acid.Calcium citrate anhydrous is used as chelating agent,buffering agent,tissue coagulator,calcium fortifier and emulsifying salt.The absorption effect is more superior than inorganic calcium when it’s used as food calcium enhancer.And it can be made chewable tablet,granule,capsule and oral liquid in pharmaceutical because it can be easier absorbed by the body than the calcium carbonate.
