Product requirements and testing procedures have already reached a stable level, with China’s GB/T 36537-2018 standard and international terminology and field-test standards providing a well-established technical framework. The global supply structure consists of several distinct layers. International measurement groups such as Topcon, Trimble and Hexagon retain strong brands, premium pricing, global distribution and high-specification products. Topcon supplies its DT series and manages the Sokkia brand within the same group; Trimble’s Spectra Geospatial portfolio includes Nikon theodolites, supported by the Nikon-Trimble joint venture in Japan; and Hexagon participates through GeoMax construction products and Leica industrial instruments. A second layer is formed by Chinese integrated manufacturers, including SOUTH, Suzhou FOIF, Beijing BOIF Tongli and Changzhou Dadi.
