Raised floor, also known as dissipative static floor, is a floor system composed of adjustable brackets, beams, panels and other components. The characteristic of this floor is its overhead structure, that is, there is a certain suspended space between the panel and the horizontal ground. The base material and veneer material of the raised floor are varied, including steel base, aluminum base, composite base, particle board base (wood base), calcium sulfate base, etc., and the surface is often made of anti-static glazed tiles or anti-static polished tiles to ensure the stability and durability of its anti-static performance.
The design of the raised floor enables it to be grounded or connected to any lower potential point so that the charge can be dissipated. The resistance of this floor is usually between 10 to the 5th power and 10 to the 9th power ohms, which meets the requirements of anti-static technology in places such as computer rooms. The raised floor not only has anti-static function, but also has environmental protection, fire prevention, high wear resistance, high life (up to more than 30 years), high load-bearing (uniform load can reach more than 1600kg/square meter), waterproof, moisture-proof and other properties.
Data centers often use Raised Floor as an air supply bellows to achieve balanced air supply and reduce pressure loss. The space under the raised floor can form a ventilation static pressure box, which is connected to the air supply outlet of the air conditioning box, so that the air flow velocity in this space is reduced to zero, the dynamic pressure is converted into static pressure, and the static pressure at each point is approximately the same, so as to achieve uniform air supply at the air supply outlet. This method not only improves the air supply efficiency, but also reduces energy consumption. The raised floor can convert part of the dynamic pressure into static pressure, so that the wind blows farther, thereby improving the comprehensive performance of the ventilation system. In the data center, the ventilation system under the raised floor is usually used in conjunction with precision air conditioning and other equipment to ensure that the environmental parameters such as temperature and humidity in the data center reach the optimal state, thereby ensuring the stable operation of the equipment and extending its service life. The application of the raised floor also greatly simplifies the structure of the ventilation system and air conditioning system of the data center.
