The global Ultra-narrow LCD Splicing Display Unit market is projected to grow from US$ 2772 million in 2025 to US$ 4011 million by 2032, at a CAGR of 5.5% (2026-2032), driven by critical product segments and diverse end‑use applications, while evolving U.S. tariff policies introduce trade‑cost volatility and supply‑chain uncertainty.

LCD liquid crystal splicing is a new splicing technology that has emerged in recent years. The structure of LCD is to place liquid crystals between two parallel pieces of glass. There are many vertical and horizontal fine wires between the two pieces of glass. The rod-shaped crystal molecules are controlled to change direction by powering on or off, and the light is refracted to produce a picture. LCD is composed of two glass plates, about 1mm thick, separated by a 5μm uniform interval containing liquid crystal material. Because the liquid crystal material itself does not emit light, lamps are set on both sides of the display screen as light sources, and there is a backlight plate (or light-homogenizing plate) and a reflective film on the back of the liquid crystal display screen. The backlight plate is composed of fluorescent materials that can emit light. Its main function is to provide a uniform background light source. The light emitted by the backlight plate enters the liquid crystal layer containing thousands of liquid crystal droplets after passing through the first polarization filter layer. The droplets in the liquid crystal layer are all contained in a tiny cell structure, and one or more cells constitute a pixel on the screen. Between the glass plate and the liquid crystal material is a transparent electrode, which is divided into rows and columns. At the intersection of the row and the column, the optical rotation state of the liquid crystal is changed by changing the voltage. The role of the liquid crystal material is similar to that of a small light valve. Around the liquid crystal material are the control circuit and the drive circuit. When the electrodes in the LCD generate an electric field, the liquid crystal molecules will be distorted, thereby refracting the light passing through them in a regular manner, and then being filtered by the second filter layer and displayed on the screen.

From a downstream perspective, Commercial Display accounted for % of 2025 revenue, surging to US$ million by 2032 (CAGR: % from 2026–2032).

Global and United States Ultra-narrow LCD Splicing Display Unit Market Report & Forecast 2024-2030

LCD liquid crystal splicing is a new splicing technology that has emerged in recent years. The structure of LCD is to place liquid crystals between two parallel pieces of glass. There are many vertical and horizontal fine wires between the two pieces of glass.
