These products employ distinct operating mechanisms, including Joule-heating-induced fuse-element melting, polymer phase-transition resistance increase, semiconductor avalanche clamping, nonlinear zinc-oxide grain-boundary conduction, gas ionization and discharge, temperature-triggered interruption, and actively controlled current isolation. AI servers and data-center power architectures are increasing the current handled by board-level and rack-level power paths, supporting demand for high-current surface-mount fuses, electronic fuses, hot-swap devices, and coordinated thermal protection.
