808nm semiconductor laser is a near-infrared light source based on gallium arsenide (GaAs) or aluminum gallium arsenide (AlGaAs) material system. Its emission wavelength is concentrated at 808 nanometers, and it has good pump absorption characteristics for biological tissues, water molecules and certain rare earth ions. This device usually realizes electro-optical conversion in the form of single-mode or multi-mode strip chips, and has the advantages of small size, high efficiency (electro-optical conversion rate can reach more than 50%), fast response (millisecond pacing), and long life (can exceed 100,000 hours). Depending on the power level, 808nm semiconductor lasers can be packaged as TO‑can, C‑mount, fiber-coupled modules, cylindrical arrays or even grating-coupled strip arrays, and support continuous wave (CW) and pulse (QCW or adjustable pulse width) output.
