Boc/Bzl is advantageous when it is desired to reduce the aggregation of peptides in the production of peptides. In addition, since Fmoc is unstable to bases, Boc/Bzl approach is a better choice when synthesizing base-sensitive moieties. For some longer peptides, microwave-related peptide synthesis is a good choice for producing peptides with low levels of racemization, while chemical ligation, fragment condensation, are also preferable method for producing long peptides.

Boc/Bzl is advantageous when it is desired to reduce the aggregation of peptides in the production of peptides. In addition, since Fmoc is unstable to bases, Boc/Bzl approach is a better choice when synthesizing base-sensitive moieties. For some longer peptides, microwave-related peptide synthesis is a good choice for producing peptides with low levels of racemization, while chemical ligation, fragment condensation, are also preferable method for producing long peptides.
