The supply chain begins upstream with elemental phosphorus and phosphate rock processing to produce phosphorous acid, followed by neutralization and formulation into stabilized liquid concentrates; midstream activities include blending, chelation, pH adjustment, and packaging by agrochemical manufacturers; downstream distribution occurs through agricultural input distributors, cooperatives, and crop-specific dealers, with end users mainly in high-value crops such as fruits, vegetables, nuts, turf, and specialty row crops where foliar application efficiency and plant health benefits justify the premium positioning.
