Nano-Silver Particle is a metallic silver with a diameter less than 99 nanometers, generally between 20 and 50 nanometers. Nanosilver is a silver particle composed of an atomic structure, not a silver ion. Nanosilver is a solid powder without an electric charge. It is a metallic silver single substance processed into a metallic silver single substance with a particle diameter less than 99 nanometers by physical and chemical methods. Nanosilver is a black powder, and its products are made by mixing nanosilver into a medium or matrix in different ways. In 2025, global Nano-Silver Particle production reached approximately 42.05 Tons. Nano-Silver Particle with a particle size of less than 99 nm are typically produced using chemical reduction, the polyol process, or related wet-chemical techniques. Their primary upstream raw materials include silver precursors, reducing agents, stabilizers/dispersants, reaction solvents and dispersion carriers, as well as minor amounts of pH adjusters and crystal-habit modifiers. Among these, silver nitrate is the most critical direct raw material and accounts for the largest share of production costs; reducing agents determine the rate of silver ion reduction, while stabilizers—such as PVP and citrates—influence particle size, morphology, and storage stability. Silver nitrate is explicitly designated by materials companies as the precursor for synthesizing silver nanoparticles.

Flexible and printed electronics create high-value growth opportunities. Silver offers excellent electrical conductivity and relatively strong oxidation resistance, making it an important conductive material for printed electronics. The development of flexible displays, wearable sensors, electronic labels, smart packaging, flexible antennas and IoT devices is expected to increase demand for nano-silver inks used in inkjet, aerosol-jet and screen printing, particularly formulations capable of producing highly conductive circuits at low processing temperatures.
