The core raw materials of ATP testing devices are divided into three main categories: optical, mechanical, and electronic. The optical component relies on high-sensitivity photomultiplier tubes (PMTs) or low dark current silicon photodiodes, with a single unit costing approximately 18–22% of the total cost. The mechanical structure mainly consists of an engineering ABS plastic shell, a precision swab slot, and a dustproof silicone ring, accounting for 10–15%. The electronic component includes an ARM main control board, Bluetooth/Wi-Fi module, lithium battery, and touchscreen, accounting for a combined 25–30%. Furthermore, the instrument requires a built-in temperature compensation algorithm and a calibrated LED light source. The matching and debugging of the light source and PMT determine whether the detection limit can reach 1×10⁻¹⁶ mol ATP. Therefore, high-end models invest additional costs in optical component selection and software calibration.

In terms of cost structure, direct material costs account for approximately 55–60% of the total BOM, with the PMT or high-performance photodiode being the most expensive single component. Manual assembly and calibration account for 15–20%, especially the time spent on PMT high-voltage bias debugging and the factory 6-point calibration. The remaining 20–25% is reserved for management, transportation, and after-sales service.
