Market Snapshot

The global Feed Glucose market size was US$ 1236 million in 2025 and is forecast to reach a readjusted size of US$ 1513 million by 2032 with a CAGR of 2.9% during the forecast period 2026-2032.
Global sales of feed glucose reached 2.7 million tons in 2025, with an average price of US$453 per ton.
Feed glucose is a monosaccharide product produced from corn starch as the main raw material through enzymatic hydrolysis (liquefaction + saccharification). Its chemical formula is C₆H₁₂O₆. It is the most direct and fastest energy source for animals. As a feed additive, its purity is usually lower than food/pharmaceutical grade, but it must meet feed hygiene standards. It is mainly used for rapid energy replenishment, osmotic pressure regulation, promoting intestinal health, and as a carbon source for fermentation media.
Raw material costs account for approximately 60%-70% of the total production cost of feed glucose. The core raw material is corn starch (accounting for over 80% of raw material costs). Its price fluctuations directly determine the cost benchmark for glucose—for every 100 yuan/ton increase in corn price, the cost of glucose increases by approximately 150-200 yuan/ton. The cost of enzyme preparations (thermosensitive α-amylase, saccharifying enzyme) in the production process accounts for approximately 5%-8%, while energy consumption (steam, electricity) accounts for 10%-15%. The liquefaction process requires maintaining a high temperature of 95-105°C during spraying, and the saccharification process requires prolonged heat treatment at 58-62°C, making them energy-intensive. Downstream refining and purification (neutralization and decolorization, ion exchange, evaporation and concentration, crystallization and separation) accounts for 15%-20% of the cost. For feed-grade products, the refining process is usually simplified to reduce costs, allowing for a certain level of impurities. It is worth noting that large-scale starch deep-processing enterprises (such as those producing 300,000 tons of glucose annually) can comprehensively utilize byproducts such as corn steep liquor recovery from corn soaking liquid, germ oil extraction, and fiber protein feed, thus allocating 20%-30% of their raw material costs. This cost advantage is difficult for small and medium-sized enterprises to replicate.
