Desiccant, also known as adsorbent, is used to prevent moisture and mildew and play a drying role. Desiccant used in daily life to remove moisture by adsorption include silica gel, alumina gel, molecular sieves, activated carbon, bone char, or activated clay, etc. Commonly used adsorbents for removing water vapor by chemical absorption include calcium chloride, quicklime or phosphorus pentoxide, which have a high chemical affinity with water vapor.
