It exhibits strong inhibitory and bactericidal effects against common bacteria (sulfate-reducing bacteria and sludge-forming bacteria), fungi (iron-oxidizing bacteria, molds, yeasts), and algae. It boasts high bactericidal efficiency, good degradability, no residue, safe operation, excellent compatibility, strong stability, and low cost of use. At high doses, it is significantly effective in removing biosludge and is currently widely used in steelmaking, oilfield water injection, thermal power generation, papermaking, oil refining, chemicals, textiles, industrial cleaning, pesticides, cutting oils, water-based coatings, daily chemicals, inks, dyes, and leather tanning.
