Electrostatic precipitators (ESPs) are high-efficiency dust removal devices that use a high-voltage electric field to charge dust particles in flue gas and then attract them to collecting electrodes through the electric field force. Common types include dry ESPs and wet ESPs. The system consists of a high-voltage power supply, discharge electrodes, collecting electrodes, a rapping and cleaning system, and a housing. It is suitable for air pollution control in industries such as power generation, steel, cement, chemicals, and waste incineration. ESPs have advantages such as low resistance, large flue gas handling capacity, and suitability for ultrafine particles (PM2.5) and high resistivity dust, making them one of the most widely used and mature core environmental protection equipment in global industrial flue gas dust removal systems.

The upstream of the ESP industry chain mainly includes core components such as high-voltage power supplies, corona wires and electrode steel, rappers, and control systems. Suppliers are mainly power supply and metal processing companies. The midstream consists of complete machine manufacturers and engineering integrators, responsible for equipment design, airflow field simulation, electric field optimization, installation, commissioning, and modification services. Representative companies include Longking, FLSmidth, GEA, and Babcock & Wilcox. Downstream, the projects cover large emission sources such as coal-fired power plants, steel sintering, building material kiln tails, waste incineration and chemical plants. The projects are usually integrated with desulfurization and denitrification, presenting long-term operation and maintenance, spare parts replacement and technology upgrade needs.
