Neo acid, also known as tertiary decanoic acid, tertiary carbonate 10, 2-ethyl-2,5-dimethylhexanoic acid, has a molecular formula of C10H20O2 and appears as a water white liquid at room temperature. Neodecanoic acid is a synthesized tertiary carboxylic acid containing 10 carbon atoms, with a highly branched structure. Neodecanoic acid has excellent hydrolytic stability, thermal stability, and chemical reagent stability, mainly due to the steric hindrance effect generated by its highly branched tertiary carbon structure and the tertiary carbon characteristics of the alpha carbon atom itself. Compared with primary and secondary carbonic acids with the same number of carbon atoms, these characteristics are particularly prominent. Neodecanoic acid is a key intermediate for producing high-performance materials.

Neo Acid is a key intermediate in the processing and manufacturing of various products, with excellent hydrolytic stability, thermal stability, and chemical reagent stability. It has excellent solubility in non-polar compounds, making it widely applicable.
