The global Diaphragm Pumps market size was US$ 1250 million in 2025 and is forecast to reach a readjusted size of US$ 2067 million by 2032 with a CAGR of 7.6% during the forecast period 2026-2032.
Diaphragm pump or Membrane pump, also known as pneumatic diaphragm pump or Air Operated Double Diaphragm Pump. A type of reciprocating pump, the pump is divided into two parts that are not connected with each other by elastic film, corrosion-resistant rubber or elastic metal sheet, which are the area where the liquid to be transported and the live column exist. In this way, the live column does not come into contact with the liquid being transported. The reciprocating motion of the live column is transmitted to the diaphragm through the medium on the same side, so that the diaphragm also reciprocates, so that the conveyed liquid can be sucked and discharged through the spherical valve. The only part in the diaphragm pump that is in contact with the liquid being conveyed is the ball valve, which is easily made in a liquid-proof form. In industrial production, diaphragm pumps are mainly used to transport corrosive liquids or liquids containing suspended solids.
Global key players of diaphragm pumps include Idex Corporation, Ingersoll-Rand, Grundfos Holding and Pump Solutions Group. The top four players hold a share over 47%. Idex Corporation is the largest producer, with a share about 19%. Asia-Pacific is the largest market of diaphragm pumps, with a share about 42%, followed by North America and Europe, with shares about 24% and 22% separately. In terms of product type, air operated is the largest segment, with a share about 80%. And in terms of application, water & wastewater is the largest application, with a share about 30 percent.
