Compared to standard nonwovens, flame-retardant treatments typically increase production costs by 30%–80%; while post-treatment methods are cheaper, they carry the risk of reduced flame-retardant performance after washing, whereas the use of inherently flame-retardant fibers entails higher costs but ensures durable, stable performance.
