The global Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) market size was US$ 2515 million in 2025 and is forecast to reach a readjusted size of US$ 3385 million by 2032 with a CAGR of 4.4% during the forecast period 2026-2032.
Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) is a trenchless pipeline rehabilitation technology in which a resin-saturated flexible liner is inserted or pulled into an existing damaged pipe and then cured in place by hot water, steam, ambient curing, ultraviolet light, or LED light to form a tight-fitting, jointless structural liner inside the host pipe. It is widely used for sewer, stormwater, potable water, industrial, pressure, and utility pipeline rehabilitation where excavation needs to be minimized. In 2025, global Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) production reached approximately 35 million meters.
The CIPP market is mainly driven by the aging of underground sewer, stormwater, potable water, and industrial pipeline networks. In North America, Europe, Japan, China, and other urbanized regions, many pipeline systems have been operating for decades and face leakage, corrosion, root intrusion, joint displacement, infiltration, exfiltration, and structural defects. Compared with open-cut replacement, CIPP can rehabilitate existing pipelines through manholes or limited access points, reducing excavation, traffic disruption, surface restoration work, project duration, and social costs. This makes CIPP especially attractive in dense urban areas, industrial zones, airports, ports, railway corridors, and other sites where excavation is expensive or difficult.
Another important driver is the shift toward higher-performance liner materials and faster curing technologies. Traditional felt liners and hot-water or steam curing remain widely used, but UV-cured glass-fiber reinforced liners, LED curing systems, styrene-reduced or styrene-free resin systems, pressure-pipe CIPP, and factory-impregnated liners are gaining wider adoption. These technologies can improve wall-thickness control, curing speed, mechanical strength, installation consistency, and quality traceability. As utilities and engineering contractors increasingly require predictable performance, longer service life, and better inspection records, CIPP liner manufacturers are moving from basic rehabilitation materials toward engineered pipe-renewal systems.
The market is also supported by rising investment in water infrastructure renewal and climate-resilient drainage systems. More frequent heavy rainfall, urban flooding, groundwater infiltration, and wastewater collection inefficiency are forcing municipalities to rehabilitate sewer and stormwater networks without large-scale excavation. In emerging markets, the expansion of urban drainage networks, stricter environmental regulation, and broader acceptance of trenchless technologies are creating new demand for CIPP liners, curing equipment, resins, robotics, CCTV inspection, and specialized installation services.

CIPP, is one of several pipe rehabilitation methods referred to as Trenchless Technologies. It is an approved method and preferred method to rehabilitating cracked, broken and failed sanitary or storm sewer pipes. Lining is less expensive and more efficient than traditional open cut replacement methods, normally installed with little or no surface disruption. CIPP lining process can be used to rehabilitate virtually any type of pipe including; Clay, Cast Iron, Orangeburg, PVC, ABS, HDPE, Concrete Pipe or Corrugated Metal Pipe.
