A TCON Chip (short for Timing Controller) is the logic engine of a display panel, functioning as the primary interface between the system host (such as a TV SoC or GPU) and the display's driver ICs. Acting as an interface between the main processor or driver ICs and the display panel, TCONs manage signal sequencing, voltage mapping, and synchronization to ensure accurate image reproduction.
