Compared with the diameter of MBB module ribbon of 0.2-0.4mm, the diameter of 0BB ultra-thin ribbon is usually less than 0.22mm, with a smaller shading area and a shorter current transmission distance, which can reduce power loss and improve power generation efficiency. 0BB ribbon has the advantages of high safety and reliability, strong adaptability, energy saving and environmental protection. As a photovoltaic module, it has great application potential in the preparation process of high-performance photovoltaic cells such as TOPCon cells, BC cells and heterojunction cells.
There are many types of photovoltaic ribbons. According to different technical routes, they can be divided into three types: MBB ribbon, SMBB ribbon and 0BB ribbon. SMBB ribbon is the mainstream product in the photovoltaic ribbon market. It has the advantages of high current transmission efficiency, small shading area, enhanced welding strength, good safety and stability, but its operating cost is relatively high. Compared with SMBB ribbon, 0BB ribbon has the advantages of high yield rate, reduced component cost, and reduced circuit loss. Its single-watt silver paste consumption is 80% of that of SMBB ribbon. In the future, with the advancement of technology and the growth of application demand, 0BB ribbon will increase its market share as a substitute for SMBB ribbon. 0BB solder ribbon is an ultra-thin round solder ribbon with a wire diameter of 0.22mm or less that matches the 0BB technology. Its unit value is higher than that of SMBB solder ribbon. With the increase in the market penetration of 0BB technology, 0BB solder ribbon will gradually replace the traditional SMBB solder ribbon.
