The main production routes of electronic grade high purity hydrogen include hydrogen production from methanol cracking, hydrogen production from natural gas cracking, hydrogen production from byproducts of chlor-alkali industry, and hydrogen production from coke oven gas, etc., and the production methods are relatively diverse.

Electronic grade high purity hydrogen is mainly used in large and ultra-large scale integrated circuit manufacturing, gas-filled electron tube filling, electric vacuum material manufacturing, electronic microchip manufacturing, wire and strip manufacturing, electron tube cathode and gate production, etc., and its application fields are relatively wide.
