A high solids content coating refers to a paint or coating product that contains a high concentration of pigment particles or fillers within a given volume of liquid medium. High solid content means that less water/solvent needs to evaporate before the film dries completely which leads to faster dry time, better color retention, and improved weather resistance. Higher the solid content greater the hiding ability, color depth, and color gamut of the paint system. Less amount of volatile organic compounds (VOC) emitted during drying leading to environmentally friendly nature of the coating.
