Foam Core Material for Transportation is a lightweight, high-strength porous material based on polymers such as polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and polyurethane, and is made through physical or chemical foaming processes. Its closed-cell structure gives the material low density, high specific strength, excellent thermal insulation and sound insulation properties, and chemical corrosion resistance. It can be used as a core component of a sandwich structure and bonded between the surfaces of composite materials, significantly reducing the weight of vehicles and improving energy efficiency. At the same time, it improves ride comfort by blocking heat conduction and absorbing vibration and noise. It has been widely used in body structural parts of rail transit vehicles, lightweight components of aerospace vehicles, and sound insulation and heat insulation layers of road transportation equipment.
