It is widely used in thin-film solar cells, photodetectors and phase change memory. The material has a high light absorption coefficient (>10⁵ cm⁻¹), low toxicity (compared to CdTe) and good thermal stability, and is suitable for the preparation of low-cost, high-efficiency solar absorption layers.
