Inorganic solid-solid phase change materials refer to materials in which the physical state of the substance remains solid during the phase change process, but the internal crystal structure changes, thereby absorbing or releasing heat. This phase change process does not involve the transformation of liquid or gaseous states, thus avoiding the problems of liquid phase leakage and large volume changes that may occur during the phase change process. During the entire phase change process, the physical state of the material remains solid, which makes it more stable and reliable during application. Since there is no transition from liquid or gaseous state involved, the volume change of inorganic solid-solid phase change materials is very small, which is conducive to their packaging and use in various devices. Compared with solid-liquid phase change materials, inorganic solid-solid phase change materials do not have the risk of leakage of liquid phase substances, thereby improving their safety and reliability. This type of material can absorb or release a large amount of latent heat during the phase change process and has a high heat storage density and thermal efficiency.
