Organic piezoelectric materials include piezoelectric polymers and piezoelectric composite materials. Piezoelectric polymers, such as polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) (film) and other organic piezoelectric (film) materials represented by it. This type of material and its material flexibility, low density, low impedance and high voltage constant (g) have attracted worldwide attention and are developing rapidly. They have been applied in underwater acoustic and ultrasonic measurement, pressure sensing, ignition and detonation. Composite piezoelectric materials, this type of material is composed of sheet, rod, rod, or powder piezoelectric materials embedded in organic polymer base materials. So far, it has been widely used in underwater acoustics, electroacoustics, ultrasound, medicine and other fields. If it is made into an underwater acoustic transducer, it not only has a high hydrostatic pressure response rate, but also is impact-resistant, not easily damaged and can be used at different depths.

The piezoelectric material is used to manufacture actuators owing to its superior characteristics such as high response speed, force generation, and displacement accuracy. Furthermore, key drivers for the product are automation and expansion of existing facilities, increasing demand for flow control equipment, and surging requirements for resources such as water and energy. Piezoelectric polymer materials have been extensively investigated as key materials for small kinetic energy harvesting due to their advantages over inorganic piezoelectric materials, such as high flexibility, good processability, and the possibility of a large area as well as curved surface preparation.
