Bacterial Filtration Efficiency Tester is used to detect various medical and daily protective mask materials and filter out the percentage of bacteria-containing suspended particles (BFE) under the specified flow rate. Bacterial Filtration Efficiency (BFE) test determines the filtration efficiency by comparing the bacterial control counts to test article effluent counts. The BFE test offers a number of advantages over other filtration efficiency tests. It has been used with little or no modification for years and provides a standard reference for comparison of filtration materials. The mean particle size can be tightly controlled and is sized using a six-stage viable-particle Andersen sampler, permitting stage-by-stage analysis. The BFE procedure is reproducible, and provides a more severe challenge to most filtration devices than would be expected in normal use. Large numbers of material can be evaluated in a relatively short time.
The Mask Bacterial Filtration Efficiency (BFE) Detector is composed of a biological aerosol generating system, aerosol chamber, aerosol delivery device, negative pressure cabinet, and 28.3LPM Anderson sampler. The entire detector is controlled by the control system. The console uses PLC+Labview to coordinate and control the work of the aerosol generation system, transmission system, negative pressure cabinet, and sampling system, and displays the working status in real time, and the entire measurement work is automatically completed.
