The oxidation furnace is a high-temperature furnace, especially designed for the oxidation of silicon carbide (SiC) by centrotherm thermal solutions. Its capability to run high process temperatures of up to 1400°C and oxidation processes using O2, N2O, NO, NO2 or WetOx atmosphere makes for an excellent combination of flexibility and proven process quality.Oxidation is a process in which silicon wafers are placed in an oxidant atmosphere such as oxygen or water vapor for high-temperature heat treatment, and a chemical reaction occurs on the surface of the silicon wafers to form an oxide film. It is one of the most widely used basic processes in integrated circuit technology.
