Dry permanent magnetic separator is a kind of equipment used for magnetic separation of granular materials, which is often used in the processing of ore, slag and other powdery materials. It uses the magnetic field generated by a permanent magnet to separate magnetic particles from non-magnetic particles. The main components of dry permanent magnetic separator include permanent magnetic drum, conveyor belt system and sorting system. The permanent magnet drum is the most critical part, and it is equipped with high-strength permanent magnets inside to generate a strong magnetic field. The material enters the magnetic field area through the conveyor belt system. When the magnetic particles pass through the permanent magnet drum, they are attracted by the magnetic force and are adsorbed on the surface of the drum, while the non-magnetic particles continue to pass through, realizing the separation of magnetic particles and non-magnetic particles.
Dry permanent magnetic separators have some advantages over traditional wet magnetic separators.
