Axle weigh pads are portable weighing scales that are used to measure the weight of individual axles or groups of axles of vehicles. Also known as portable axle scales or weighbridges, axle weigh pads are designed to provide accurate and reliable measurements of vehicle weight for various applications. Axle weigh pads consist of a series of load cells that are encased in a durable and portable housing. Load cells are strain gauge sensors that measure the amount of weight or force applied to them. Each pad typically has multiple load cells distributed evenly across its surface. To weigh a vehicle using axle weigh pads, the pads are placed on a level surface and positioned beneath each tire of the axle or group of axles being measured. When the vehicle drives onto the pads, the load cells underneath each tire record the weight distributed on them. The individual weight measurements from each pad are collected and displayed on a digital indicator or computer software. The weight readings for each axle or group of axles can be obtained in real-time, allowing for immediate analysis and monitoring of the vehicle"s weight distribution.
