Manufacturing Processes and Market Trends:

The preparation of amorphous alloys is considered as the first step and a pivotal part in the whole manufacturing process. Generally, a melt quenching method is used, in which a high-purity metal raw material is melted at a high temperature and the liquid metal is rapidly cooled by a high-speed rotating copper roller or a spray cooling technique. This rapid cooling prevents the formation of a crystalline structure, resulting in an amorphous microstructure. The thickness of the obtained amorphous strip is generally from tens of micrometers to hundreds of micrometers, and the amorphous strip has excellent physical and magnetic properties.

The amorphous motor has the characteristics of low loss and high efficiency, has more obvious performance advantages at high speed and high frequency, has high power density, can reduce the volume, save materials, and reduce the material cost and other losses of the motor. Especially compared with the traditional silicon steel motor, amorphous motor has two obvious advantages. First, the resistivity of amorphous material is 3 times that of silicon steel sheet, the thickness is only 1/10 of silicon steel sheet, and the eddy current loss is significantly lower than that of silicon steel sheet. Second, the operating efficiency of amorphous motor is as high as 97%, while the traditional motor is as high as 87%.
