High speeds, extreme loads, powerful accelerations and sharp emergency braking – only forged railway wheels can meet these requirements. Railway wheels are forged in four working steps before they undergo mechanical machining. First of all, a disk-shaped preform is produced in two stages from a heated block. This preform is then rolled out into the final contour using a wheel roller. Finally, the rolled-out wheel is calibrated and the hub is offset axially and pierced.

A forged and rolled high-speed wheel is a type of train wheel used in high-speed rail systems, manufactured through forging and rolling processes. In the manufacturing process, the wheel undergoes forging initially, where high temperature and pressure are applied to induce plastic deformation in the metal material, shaping it into the desired form and structure. Subsequently, it goes through rolling processes to further refine and shape it to precise dimensions and surface quality standards. Forged and rolled high-speed wheels typically possess more uniform internal structure, higher strength, and fatigue resistance, making them suitable for high-speed railway systems, ensuring safer and more stable train operations.
