A Solar Surgical Light, also known as a Solar Surgical Headlight or Solar Surgical Headlamp, is a specialized medical device used in surgical procedures to provide high-intensity illumination of the surgical field. Unlike traditional surgical lights that are connected to electrical power sources, solar surgical lights are designed to operate independently, powered by rechargeable batteries or solar panels. They are commonly used in various medical specialties, including neurosurgery, dentistry, orthopedics, and ophthalmology, where precise and focused illumination is required.

Japanese authorities plan to make solar panels mandatory for new residential buildings in Tokyo from 2025 onwards. It is estimated that by 2030, photovoltaic power generation will account for 14%-16% of Japan's total power generation, and the cumulative installed capacity of photovoltaic systems will be about 117.216 GW.
