This report studies the process components for semiconductor production equipment, including the heaters, Showerhead, Chamber, Chamber Liner, and Electrostatic Chuck (ESC), etc.
A showerhead is a component that evenly supplies gas to the wafer substrate as needed in the semiconductor production process. It, therefore, has many high precision pores and a complex arrangement of gas channels inside it.
An electrostatic chuck (E-Chuck, ESC) is a chuck that absorbs and fixes (chucks) a workpiece by using an electrical force that causes objects to attract each other with static electricity. E-Chucks are primarily used in semiconductor manufacturing equipment to semiconductor wafer clamping. When positive and negative voltages are applied to the internal electrodes of the chuck while the workpiece is placed on the chuck, the electric charges in the workpiece move so that they are attracted to the internal electrodes. This generates a Coulomb force between the electrodes and the workpiece, and the workpiece is adsorbed to the chuck.
WSTS has adjusted its Spring 2024 forecast upwards, projecting a 16.0 percent growth in the global semiconductor market compared to the previous year. The updated market valuation for 2024 is estimated at US$611 billion. This revision reflects stronger performance in the last two quarters, particularly in computing end-markets.
For 2024, mainly two Integrated Circuit categories are anticipated to drive the growth for the year with double digit increase, Logic with 10.7 percent and Memory with 76.8 percent.
