Hydrocracking is a process in the petrochemical industry, that is, during the oil refining process, under high pressure and temperature, hydrogen causes heavy oil to undergo hydrogenation, cracking and isomerization reactions under the action of a catalyst, and is converted into light oil (gasoline, kerosene, diesel or raw materials for catalytic cracking and cracking to produce olefins). It is different from catalytic cracking in that the catalytic cracking reaction is accompanied by a hydrocarbon hydrogenation reaction. Hydrocracking is essentially an organic combination of hydrogenation and catalytic cracking processes, which can convert heavy oil products into light oil products such as gasoline, kerosene and diesel through catalytic cracking reactions, prevent the generation of a large amount of coke, remove impurities such as sulfur, nitrogen and oxygen in the raw materials, and saturate olefins. Hydrocracking has the outstanding characteristics of high light oil yield and good product quality.
