Aerostatic bearing is one of the forms of sliding bearings. Its structure and working principle are similar to those of liquid sliding bearings. The difference is that gas (mostly air) is used as the lubricating medium. When the external compressed gas enters the bearing gap through the restrictor, a lubricating gas film with a certain load-bearing and rigidity will be formed in the gap, and the shaft will be floated in the bearing by the lubricating support of the gas film. For the gas static pressure bearing, the use of external pressure to supply air is its basic working method, and the restrictor is the key to its structure, and the eccentricity of the main shaft due to its own weight and load during operation establishes the corresponding bearing and rigidity machining center mechanism of the bearing.

Aerostatic bearing is one of the forms of sliding bearings. Its structure and working principle are similar to those of liquid sliding bearings. The difference is that gas (mostly air) is used as the lubricating medium. When the external compressed gas enters the bearing gap through the restrictor, a lubricating gas film with a certain load-bearing and rigidity will be formed in the gap, and the shaft will be floated in the bearing by the lubricating support of the gas film. For the gas static pressure bearing, the use of external pressure to supply air is its basic working method, and the restrictor is the key to its structure, and the eccentricity of the main shaft due to its own weight and load during operation establishes the corresponding bearing and rigidity machining center mechanism of the bearing.
