Triple Quadrupole ICP-MS is a highly sensitive and high-resolution mass spectrometry technique that combines inductively coupled plasma (ICP) and triple quadrupole mass spectrometry (MS). It is used for elemental and isotopic analysis. The working principle of triple quadrupole ICP-MS involves ionizing the sample using an ICP source, which generates a plasma that ionizes the sample atoms. The ions are then separated and filtered using three sets of quadrupole mass analyzers, which allow for precise selection of specific ions based on their mass-to-charge ratio (m/z).
