A reducer for an electric vehicle comprises a motor housing, a reducer housing, an input shaft, an output shaft, and a differential gear. A drive motor is installed in the motor housing. The reducer housing is assembled in one side of the motor housing. The input shaft is the central shaft of the drive motor. The output shaft is arranged in one top or one bottom of the input shaft and is connected to the input shaft through a reduction gear.
