A valve actuator is a mechanism valve used to open and close. Manually operated valves require someone to be present, using a direct or gear mechanism connected to the valve stem to adjust them. Electric actuators use air pressure, hydraulic pressure, or electricity to allow remote adjustment of the valve or allow rapid operation of large valves.
