Description

Multi-functional additives for metalworking fluids are widely used to formulate water soluble and neat cutting oils for metal working processes. During metal processing these fluids form an effective barrier between metal surfaces and contaminants (such as air, water and other corrosion-producing materials) hence protect metal and finally increase the operating efficiency and reliability of the equipment.

Metalworking fluid additives for industrial lubricants are fairly complex due to their need to carry out multiple functions when in use. These functions include cooling, corrosion protection, providing lubricity and removing metal parts away from the machining activity.
