Yutong, manufacturer of commercial vehicles, headquartered in Zhengzhou, China, recently held trial operation ceremony of 40 Yutong dual-powered trolleybuses in Mexico City. This ceremony marks the first step by Mexico City towards green reforms and environment-friendly transportation. The event was attended by the Mayor of Mexico City, the Director of the Transportation Bureau and several other leaders.
At the ceremony, Yutong gave a test ride to the Mayor of Mexico City, Claudia Sheimbaum on its dual-powered trolleybus. The company director Latin American pision I, Steven Zhang, also introduced her to the development status and technical strength of new energy buses.
Mrs Sheimbaum said that to improve urban accessibility, the city has to improve its public transportation. The dual-powered trolleybuses will not only improve public transportation but urban environment in Mexico City. As the dual-powered trolleybus technology has been successful and emission-free they we will increase the number of electric vehicles in the city.
In total, the company supplied 63 dual-powered trolleybuses out of which 40 have been delivered. The remaining 23 are expected to be delivered by December. These buses are emission-free and more efficient than traditional trams attributing to its battery that can reach up to 100 kilometers under disconnected status. This will allow the bus to take passengers to their destinations without any trouble.
These high-tech buses by Yutong are environment-friendly, technologically advanced, comfortable, less noisy, and visually appealing. They are also expected to attract a large number of people for recreational purposes. These new vehicles, once in operation will bring high-quality green transport for local citizens by boosting Mexico's public transportation.
